Fundraising Committee Member

About the Fundraising Committee

The Friends of Coyote Hills Fundraising Committee is dedicated to supporting the financial sustainability of the organization. Committee members play a vital role in advancing our conservation mission by contributing their time, skills, and community connections to fundraising efforts. No single member is expected to do everything — this is a collaborative team where each person contributes according to their strengths and availability.

Minimum Expectations for All Members

All committee members are expected to:

  • Attend bi-monthly planning and coaching sessions with a fundraising professional
  • Follow through on tasks and commitments made to the committee
  • Communicate proactively if circumstances affect their availability or commitments
  • Act as an ambassador for Friends of Coyote Hills in the community

Areas of Contribution

Members may contribute in one or more of the following areas, based on interest and experience:

  • Communications & Promotion — Assisting with fundraising-related messaging, social      media, and outreach materials
  • Grassroots & Community Engagement — Raising awareness and support within the      broader community
  • Event Planning & Coordination — Supporting the planning and execution of      fundraising events
  • Donor Outreach & Stewardship — Identifying, cultivating, and maintaining      relationships with individual donors
  • Grant Research & Writing — Identifying funding opportunities and assisting with grant applications
  • Logistics & Administration — Providing behind-the-scenes support to keep efforts organized and on track

What We Offer

Joining the Friends of Coyote Hills Fundraising Committee is an investment in your community — and in yourself. Committee members receive:

  • Fundraising Training & Coaching — Access to regular guidance from a      fundraising professional, building practical skills applicable well beyond      this role
  • A Lasting Legacy — The deep satisfaction of knowing your efforts help      preserve Coyote Hills for generations of neighbors, families, and wildlife      to come
  • Networking Opportunities — Connection with like-minded community members, conservation advocates, and local leaders who share your values
  • Recognition — Acknowledgment of your contributions in our communications, events, and organizational materials
  • Behind-the-Scenes Access — Unique opportunities to experience Coyote Hills in ways the general public does not

What We're Looking For

We welcome community members who:

  • Care deeply about land conservation and the mission of Friends of Coyote Hills
  • Are reliable, collaborative, and willing to learn
  • Can commit to the minimum expectations outlined above
  • Bring any relevant skills or community connections they are willing to share

This is a non-compensated volunteer role offering a meaningful opportunity to make a direct impact on the preservation of Coyote Hills for future generations.
